The Šantovka theater spotlights lit up and our children enchanted all of those who came.

On Wednesday, December 18, we traditionally had a Christmas performance at Santovka Theatre. Teachers, together with their pupils, rehearsed diligently to please everyone who came to Santovka to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.
Everything started with the dress rehearsals the day before. On Wednesday, the door was opened for the audience at 6 pm; the theater was bursting at the seams, and parents, grandparents or friends couldn't wait for the show to start.
Y1 and Y2 children came first to introduce their Hollywood White Christmas performance under the leadership of Ms Jitka and Ms Freya. We saw wonderful dance and singing performances.
They were followed by Y3 and Y4 pupils on the stage and, according to the script written by our teachers, Ms Eleni and Ms Kayleigh, they played a CSI Christmas crime story. It turned out that it is not advisable to play Monopoly with the Easter Bunny every Christmas, or we could end up locked in a closet like Santa. But Christmas was saved in the end!
This was followed by a break, during which visitors enjoyed the prepared refreshments.
Young actors from Y5 and Y6 and their Nightmares before Christmas performance were waiting for refreshed viewers. Children pointed out that gifts are not the most important thing about Christmas, and also that a turkey needs a proper oven!
In the end our pupils from secondary prepared together with FLEXI students the Czech version of Cinderella according to the film The Three Wishes for Popelka (Cinderella). The Czech people in the audience were certainly pleased by the well-known melodies that accompanied the entire performance.
It would be really hard to pick one show as the best, but I can say for sure that this year's ISO Christmas performance was a success. The audience reacted well and laughed a lot. The great effort that both pupils and their teachers put into the performances paid off. Personally, I am very proud of my children and their performance.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the organization of the show and thank you to those who came and contributed. An incredible 11,300 CZK was collected this year; there was also the amount of 15 euros and one US dollar in the cash box. The money will go to the Santovka Theatre, so thank you for allowing us to organize this event for one more year. It is a great experience for our children and a certain highlight of the school year.
They will gain perfect knowledge of English.
Your child will become a global citizen with wide understanding of local and international topics.
We put a strong emphasis on the development on subject specific skills rather than on acquisition of knowledge.
Emphasis on skills development (not just memorising).
Individual approach; school’s ability to motivate for improvement.
Your child will be excited to come to school.
You are not buying success, you are paying for the school to monitor your child’s progress to their goals and motivate them to fulfil their potential.
We are not a selective school: we believe that everybody can be successful.
Jolly Phonics is an engaging way to teach children pre -reading and pre -writing skills using phonics. Phonics is the teaching of the sounds that letters make, rather than the names of letters that are taught in the alphabet, because it is the sounds that are useful for reading and writing, not the names. These sounds are taught in a systematic way, alongside all of the skills needed for being a fluent reader and writer in future. Jolly Phonics also teaches all of this in a fun and engaging way, through characters, stories, actions, songs and games! To read more about Jolly Phonics, clickhere.
