Read about the Art gallery the little artists from Y3 prepared.
by Eleni Kefala
In Y3 we finished our IPC unit "Paintings, Pictures and Photographs" with a memorable exit point.
The kids throughout the unit became artists, explored many different ways of creating art and experimented with different techniques.
In the end there was only one way to celebrate this huge artistic wave, by creating our own Art Gallery.
After weeks of preparation, on the 6th of March we had it ready for visitors. Parents, teachers and other students had the chance to wander through the room and discuss with the Y3 art experts about the different projects and artworks. There was a special section displaying videos and photos we took throughout the unit as well as results of some experiments we conducted.
The ideas of the children and their creativity as well as the interest of the parents and their immediate response to the idea were some of the reasons that made this exit point unique.
Thank you all for the support and we're looking forward to our next exciting adventure!
