- Could you please introduce yourself?
- My name is Adriana. After completing ISO, I went to Církevní gymnázium Německého řádu Olomouc. I am currently studying Social and Humanitarian Work at Caritas – Vyšší odborná škola sociální Olomouc, where I am focused on developing my knowledge and skills to help and support people in need, both locally and internationally.
- How has ISO influenced your career path and contributed to where you are today?
- ISO had a strong influence on my career path because it gave me a solid foundation in English. Thanks to this, I had no difficulties with English at grammar school, and now at Caritas – Vyšší odborná škola sociální Olomouc, I can easily understand lectures, study materials, and communicate during international internships and practical training. My good language skills help me feel confident in various professional situations. In my free time, I also tutor primary school children in English, which allows me to share my knowledge and strengthen my communication skills even more.
- What is one key skill or value from ISO that helped you?
- One key skill I gained from school is the confidence to speak English as a foreign language. Thanks to the excellent teachers and the school’s supportive approach, I overcame my fear of speaking in front of others. Various presentations and public speaking opportunities helped me develop strong communication and presentation skills. Now, I can express myself clearly and confidently, which is very useful in my current field of study and future career.
- What advice would you give to our current students?
- My advice to current students is to embrace every opportunity to learn something new and get involved in as many activities and projects as possible. Make lots of friends and enjoy every single day spent at ISO. I still look back on my time there with so much joy and gratitude. I feel truly lucky to have studied at such a wonderful school and to have met so many amazing people — both teachers and friends. Those were some of the best years of my life, and I’ll always treasure those memories.
