At ISO we have designed an ESL programme which is focused on supporting students whose first language is not English. The key aim is to help students adapt to their new environment and to achieve success in their academic life.
We accept children for whom English is a second language. If the English level is low at the beginning we provide special support in terms of extra English lessons or within subject by adapting the materials and content to the needs of the child. Depending on ability it takes usually something between three months and one year for a child to catch up and be fully integrated in the mainstream classes.
Within the ESL programme we carefully monitor and evaluate progress of our ESL students. The goal is to help them learn English as soon as possible so that they can enjoy learning and access the curriculum fully.
