We had a fantastic Easter camp at ISO this year. The two-day program included a variety of engaging edutainment and hands-on learning activities, both indoors and outdoors. We started day one with some ice-breaking activities, such as an egg race, balloon tower, and scavenger hunt. The participants were excited to work together to find the clues that led them closer to the treasure.
As the first main activity, we made marbled paper with shaving cream and food coloring. It was a lot of fun to experiment with foam and different colors, forming unique patterns with our hands.
Throughout the rest of the program, we enjoyed three other interesting activities: playing rugby, joining a 3D printing club, and exploring Minecraft education. We also had the opportunity to make pizza, which was a delicious way to end the day.
On the second day, we visited Pevnost Poznani, the Museum of Science. We had the opportunity to wear historical uniforms and travel back in time to when history was being written in Olomouc. After that, we visited the water world section. Later on, we entered an eight-metre model of the human brain and played 3D tic-tac-toe puzzles and solved many other tricky puzzles. We concluded our visit by learning about light and its secrets in the Cosmonautics and Astronomy section.
Overall, the Easter camp at ISO provided a memorable experience for all of us.

Jolly Phonics is an engaging way to teach children pre -reading and pre -writing skills using phonics. Phonics is the teaching of the sounds that letters make, rather than the names of letters that are taught in the alphabet, because it is the sounds that are useful for reading and writing, not the names. These sounds are taught in a systematic way, alongside all of the skills needed for being a fluent reader and writer in future. Jolly Phonics also teaches all of this in a fun and engaging way, through characters, stories, actions, songs and games! To read more about Jolly Phonics, clickhere.
