What a fantastic first day!
by Freya Swain
I was awoken by the sound of the alarm clock and I felt the first day jitters. I nervously placed my new pencil case and lunch into my backpack and excitedly started my journey to school. I arrived to my colourful classroom, ready to learn - all about my new class. One by one, they cautiously entered the room. Some were shy and others were excited, I could empathise with all of them as this was their first day too! My Year 1 class sat down and we introduced ourselves and spoke about the year ahead. The sense of excitement was electric and we all had photos taken to mark the momentous occasion. The day was filled with fun and games and I was impressed to see how courteous the class were. Then, the end of the day came, the pencils had been used and the classroom had been worked in- What a fantastic day!
