- Could you please introduce yourself?
- My name is Laura Anna. After graduating from ISO, I was accepted into the Czech-French section at Slovanské Gymnázium in Olomouc. I am currently in my final year, preparing for my graduation exams. I am now applying to Sciences Po in Dijon, where I would like to focus on politics.
- How has ISO influenced your career path and contributed to where you are today?
- ISO taught me to respect others and to see mistakes as a valuable part of learning rather than something negative. I learned that doing things differently does not mean doing them wrong. This mindset has strongly influenced my choices since then. I look for schools that are open-minded, not bound by rigid traditions, and where teachers see students as individuals. Thanks to ISO, I am choosing an educational path that values curiosity, dialogue, and mutual respect.
- What is one key skill or value from ISO that helped you?
- The most important value I gained from ISO is the courage to take risks and embrace every opportunity. I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and never feel like I am not capable. Thanks to this mindset, I spent two months working in France, completed an internship in the Czech Parliament, and attended a leadership institute in Germany. This is something I truly gained from ISO. When deciding whether to take an opportunity, I never hesitate. Either it works out, or it does not, but it is always worth trying.
- What advice would you give to our current students?
- Take risks. Be fearless. Make the most of your time at ISO and stay active. Take every opportunity you can, especially those that push you out of your comfort zone. Travel, go abroad, and experience different environments. You have a huge advantage in your language skills, so use it. Do not hold yourself back. The more you try, the more you gain.
