DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM IN PRIMARY/LOWER SECONDARY
We have successfully tested a new technology to enable not only the individual one-on-one online meetings between the learner and the teacher but also to organize a regular whole class learning and progress sessions. Class teachers went through some initial training today and are now setting up their accounts and class meetings to plan and prepare for the first class meeting to review the learning progress. They will be in touch with you today to set up the first class meetings online. Please do respond to the communication and help your children to participate in these meetings providing them with working and tested webcam and headsets (not speakers). In order to make this successfully happen your children will need:
- working webcam
- working headset
- computer
- good Internet connection
It is also possible to use the Lifesize Video Conferencing app that can be downloaded from Google Play or App Store, however, we recommend to use computer - webcam - headset rather than the mobile phone.
INITIAL CLASS MEETING
The first task for the next day or two is to organize a whole class meeting between children and the class teacher. Teachers should initially confirm some basic details with you such as the timing and equipment. Then the only thing to do is to follow a link teacher will send to you (email and homework calendar). After you or your child clicks on the link just type in child's name (email is not necessary) to join the class meeting. If this is fairly successful we can start quickly organizing the learning process in order to provide good quality distance learning solution.

They will gain perfect knowledge of English.
Your child will become a global citizen with wide understanding of local and international topics.
We put a strong emphasis on the development on subject specific skills rather than on acquisition of knowledge.
Emphasis on skills development (not just memorising).
Individual approach; school’s ability to motivate for improvement.
Your child will be excited to come to school.
You are not buying success, you are paying for the school to monitor your child’s progress to their goals and motivate them to fulfil their potential.
We are not a selective school: we believe that everybody can be successful.
Jolly Phonics is an engaging way to teach children pre -reading and pre -writing skills using phonics. Phonics is the teaching of the sounds that letters make, rather than the names of letters that are taught in the alphabet, because it is the sounds that are useful for reading and writing, not the names. These sounds are taught in a systematic way, alongside all of the skills needed for being a fluent reader and writer in future. Jolly Phonics also teaches all of this in a fun and engaging way, through characters, stories, actions, songs and games! To read more about Jolly Phonics, clickhere.

It is an excellent way to practise the skills learned through the Jolly Phonics Programme..
