From Monday 26 October, we are announcing a five-day holiday for children in Y2 and older. In Y1 upon registration we will offer an alternative program with daily attendance.
With regard to the latest developments, the teaching program in Y1 and distance learning from Y2 upwards will be interrupted in the next week from Monday 26/10 to Friday 30/10. For children in Y1, the school will remain open all week except Wednesday of the public holiday, but with a substitute program and daily attendance.
Teachers from Y2 onwards will not broadcast online. However, students can still complete the tasks assigned to them by their teachers through Google Classroom. Teachers will only be available offline in Google Classroom during Monday and Tuesday next week to answer written questions. On Thursdays and Fridays, teachers take regular leave.
An alternative program will be prepared for pupils in Y1. We ask all parents of children from Y1 to fill in this short registration form: REGISTRATION FOR ATTENDANCE. Please fill in the form even if you are not interested in attending next week. The alternative program from Monday 26/10 to Friday 30/10 is part of the tuition fee and is free of charge. School lunches will be given to children like this week in their homeroom class.
We are waiting for information on whether the presence of children and pupils in primary schools will be allowed again. So far, it is planned to allow the children to return to schools on Monday, November 2. However, according to the available information, this may change. If we remain closed, we will continue from Monday 2/11 with our distance learning according to a regular timetable.
We also remind you, the opportunity to meet the management of the school online. As already announced in the last message. Petr Pospíšil as the founder of the school is available today 22/10 as every Thursday from 16.00 to 17.00 at this link: Conference Meeting with Petr Pospisil
The program in preschool for classes Lions, Nursery and Reception will continue as usual.
They will gain perfect knowledge of English.
Your child will become a global citizen with wide understanding of local and international topics.
We put a strong emphasis on the development on subject specific skills rather than on acquisition of knowledge.
Emphasis on skills development (not just memorising).
Individual approach; school’s ability to motivate for improvement.
Your child will be excited to come to school.
You are not buying success, you are paying for the school to monitor your child’s progress to their goals and motivate them to fulfil their potential.
We are not a selective school: we believe that everybody can be successful.
Jolly Phonics is an engaging way to teach children pre -reading and pre -writing skills using phonics. Phonics is the teaching of the sounds that letters make, rather than the names of letters that are taught in the alphabet, because it is the sounds that are useful for reading and writing, not the names. These sounds are taught in a systematic way, alongside all of the skills needed for being a fluent reader and writer in future. Jolly Phonics also teaches all of this in a fun and engaging way, through characters, stories, actions, songs and games! To read more about Jolly Phonics, clickhere.
ORT is a reading scheme which has been developed to help children learn to read from the age of 4. It is an excellent way to practise the skills learned through the Jolly Phonics Programme..
Cambridge Primary ENGLISH promotes an enquiry-based approach, developing learners’ confidence, creativity and intellectual engagement. Learners develop English skills that they can apply to a range of different purposes and audiences in everyday situations and in study.
We teach English as a first language. Pupils that are only starting to learn English or need some additional support are allocated to our intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) programme.
