Our Mission Statement

Our school promotes Fundamental British Values, this works harmoniously in line with the ethos of the school. We make an effort to nurture our students to be unique, creative individuals who are prepared for their adult life. We raise them to be independent and responsible, yet open-minded and able to respect all people in the society.

As a british school in the territory of the Czech Republic we declare that these values fully correspond to the values in Czech society.

What are Fundamental British Values?

  • Democracy
  • Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

How do we actively promote them?

For Example:

  • Students can pass their suggestions through a student council and partly participate in the running of the school. They also learn democratic principles, e. g. elections of council members and the process of discussing and approving representatives' suggestions.
  • They can also express their opinions anonymously through a suggestion box.
  • During weekly assemblies we bring attention to the British values and how these values are being reflected in students behaviour. The students are positively motivated with SEAL stickers. These key competences are rewarded: empathy, managing feelings, self-awareness, motivation and social skills.
  • All Fundamental British Values are clearly displayed in classrooms.
  • As a international school we put an emphasis on diversity and respect. Pupils of different ages, cultures and beliefs meet and participate with mutual cooperation, e. g. in activities and competition for their houses.
  • They discover a different social environment and learn to help and respect other people, e. g. visit to Elderly People’s Home.
  • The British Values are reflected by our Golden Rules that are displayed in every classroom and that are supported by a positive motivation – 15 minutes of golden time; they can spend the time as they want to. They learn to take responsibility for their behaviour; a potential loss of the golden time.
  • The process of teaching itself promotes the Fundamental British Values too. They are part of the curriculum and PSHE policy and they are discussed a lot during classes. Our students learn also about consequences that can result from not following these values. They are also taught to think critically.

How do we differ from local schools?

Show differences

School philosophy

We will teach your child to read, write and count. While at iSchool, their English will become their second native language. (Brilliant, perfect..)

Teaching independent thinking, responsibility and learning support is just a cherry on top.
