ISO comes together to host a Spelling week and organise a week of charity for cats.

This year’s Spell-a-thon event, was double the fun: students got to enjoy a full week of writing challenges, through which they experienced different styles and formats of writing. We saw writing tasks ranging from diaries, short stories and information texts to crossword puzzles, word searches and tongue twisters.
The students also took part, through the writing challenges, in raising money for this year’s school charity ‘Pomocne ruce’ located in Olomouc. The charity is an organisation which helps cats find good homes and the medical assistance they need.
Since this event was a house event, houses got to work as a team, and by sharing the team spirit and competitiveness, they all managed to raise an amazing amount of 6.500 kc!
We all stood as witnesses to how powerful and determined kids can be, with the right motivation and freedom to choose their own charity.
On behalf of our staff at ISO, we would like to say thank you to all of our students, the Student Council, who was an immense help during the event, and a big thank you to all the parents, for nurturing the school spirit and belonging to our school community.
