Students share their talents with the elderly people
by Kate Pegg
We are happy to share the experience of our students after visiting the retirement home for elderly people in Chvalkovice, Olomouc. Continuing this tradition for the third year in a row, our students had the opportunity to share their dancing and singing skills with the residents of the Chvalkovice retirement home. Year 1 students brought joy to the audience with their dancing and singing. Year 5, year 6, year 7 and 8 students sang Czech songs together with the residents. We also did some magic tricks and said a couple of Czech jokes. The visit was a great experience for our students, during which some of them expressed an interest in doing some volunteering in the retirement home. We would like to continue with this collaboration in the future, preferably doing some volunteering.
